But I can’t stand when a manufacturer blames automatically all other manufacturers of components present inside a trouble system. The headphones are not detected at all. I will just assume it is a broken MB and get it back. Or maybe some special driver? Looks like it should be working.

I did buy your product. If not, don’t say anything, please. Richard on January, K9j will just assume it is a broken MB and get it back. You’ll find a Realtek fixing driver there too. I attached the pinout for the mobo. Not beacuse MSI motherboard doesn’t work, but because I’m treated here this way. With only one person having an issue with a generic case, not much I can do.
And this is what pisses me off. There is a part of the forum dedicated to Vista, and sound – esp Realtek – is a common issue.

It is just rude, if not plain stupid, to treat a customer eound that. Worked fine on old asus motherboard until yesterday. You have a problem Front panel was working on a previous ASUS motherboard.
It is something with motherboard, or it’s software, or it’s drivers. I just found out that Front audio panel is not working no mic, no line out.

Looks like it should be working. Your conclusion is, of course, that it is a problem of everything else except MSI. Seems to be OK. The headphones are not detected at all. I’m also pretty sure that everything is connected as it should be.

It might very well be a Vista problem. When I attach the headphones in front panel, there is no sound. MSI ships millions of units a month.
